Different parts of an aeroplane. The construction of the fuselage will vary on different types of aircraft. The wheels of a plane are called the landing gear. They can have several different types of landing gear.

Then there is one more wheel near the front of the plane. Passengers and cargo are carried in the rear of the fuselage. It will often have additional space for cargo depending upon the type of aircraft.

Materials ranging from wood to welded steel tubes were used to make the fuselage during ww ii. It is generally a long tube shape. The body of the plane is called the fuselage.

Others carry the fuel in the wings. The fuselage or body of the airplane holds all the pieces together. Most commonly they re made up of struts and wheels but some planes use floats if they re expecting to land on water or skis if they need to glide to a stop on top of snow.
